A Touring Autumn
Where will your bike be taking you this autumn?
There are some great places to ride around the UK, perhaps you'd like to recommend some yourself?
The RAC list their top five UK road trips: as The Antrim Coast Road, Northern Ireland - stunning coastline from Larne to The Giant's Causeway; The A357 Peak District - known as The Cat and Fiddle; The North Coast 500, Scotland - takes in Inverness Castle and John O'Groats; A39 Minehead to Barnstaple - including the challenge of 1:4 Porlock Hill; A470 Cardiff to Llandudno - 185 mile route incorporating the Brecon Beacons and Abergwesyn Pass.
Share your favourite motorcycle route with us, we'd love to hear about it!
New Duke on the Block
The new must-have motorcycle for 2018 is the new KTM 790 Duke. Launched in February, this 799cc parallel twin, lightweight model boasts proper lean-sensitive traction control, cornering ABS, launch control, a slipper clutch and an autoblipper/ quickshifter.
The 790 Duke has already received a rave review from MCN, who put a prototype to the test on Germany’s tallest mountain pass, where it handled twists and turns on roads bordered by sheer drops like a dream.
If you’re looking for a compact bike with over 100bhp, super smooth handling and up-to-date features, then you may well have found it with the KTM 790 Duke.
This is our sharpest tool in the shed, developed with one task in mind: to dominate the street. A true rider knows
that here, power needs precision. Feedback. Poise. That’s why KTM combined a light, state-of-the-art chassis with the new LC8c engine. The result: plenty of torque on tap, a 105 horsepower rush blasting out of corners and a huge
grin on your face.
In order to slingshot this telepathic lightweight even further ahead, advanced ride by wire, integrated connectivity options and next-generation rider aids are here today. But that’s not the end of it. Imagine an up and down quickshifter that takes its name extremely seriously. Customized ride modes. Personalized traction control. And a lean, mean KISKA design that’ll make you learn to love waiting for the others as you raced ahead.
